Random Hexamers are short oligodeoxyribonucleotides of random sequence [d(N)6] that anneal to random complementary sites on a target DNA or RNA to serve as primers for DNA synthesis by a DNA polymerase or reverse transcriptase.
These are the same Invitrogen primers that are currently included in the SuperScript IV Kit (Cat. No. 18091050).
Use this set of oligonucleotides for template switching cDNA synthesis and preamplification. Template Switching Oligonucleotide and Capturing Oligo (dT) are used to incorporate adaptor sequences to full-length cDNA. Preamplification primer enables PCR amplification of obtained cDNA.
