Nursing and Allied Health Products
All nurses begin their training by learning about the systems and functions of the human body. From there, they learn to carry out the responsibilities required for the type and level of nursing they wish to practice. Nursing students use a range of tools to develop basic knowledge and learn more advanced skills:
- Anatomic models: Skeleton, muscle, and other body and organ systems
- Practical skill simulators: Stump bandaging, sutures, hemorrhage control, decubitus care, IV therapy, IM injections, catheterization, epidural/spinal injections, and childbirth
- Assessment tools: Sphygmomanometers, stethoscopes, and reflex hammers
- Emergency care: CPR manikins and AED simulators

Patient Care Training
Allied health professionals specialize in a range of fields that nurses and physicians don’t, including audiology, laboratory science, therapy, imaging, dietetics and nutrition, paramedicine, and education.
In addition to learning about human morphology and physiology just as nurses do, students studying allied health fields may also train using manikins, simulators, and diagnostic testing products.
