About Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses
Service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs) are majority-owned and controlled by at least one service-disabled veteran.
These veterans have served in the active military, naval, or air service, have been honorably discharged or released, and have a disability that was incurred or aggravated in the line of duty during their service.
There is no minimum disability rating to be eligible, and any service-disabled veteran who owns and controls at least 51% of a small business may participate in the Department of Defense’s SDVOSB program.
Current Goals
Annually, the federal government targets awarding at least 3% of all federal contracting funds to SDVOSB.
