Veteran-owned small businesses (VOSBs) are majority-owned and controlled by at least one veteran who has served in the active military, naval, or air service.
These businesses must also be considered small by the Small Business Association (SBA) and be officially registered as small businesses.

VOSBs may receive sole-source and set-aside contracts from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).
