Cold Storage Designed to Meet Sustainability and Productivity Goals
Labs today are looking for equipment that not only works well but that also helps them to fulfill their missions for improved sustainability and productivity. In response to that need, Thermo Scientific™ TSX Series Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) Freezers have been designed to provide a unique combination of energy savings, fast door-opening temperature recovery and low peak-temperature variation. And, like all Thermo Scientific equipment, these models have been designed to maximize lab efficiencies while fostering sustainability.
Energy Efficiency
Energy efficiency can have a significant impact on the operation and environmental impact of laboratories. The TSX Series and other Thermo Scientific ULT freezers, a total of 42 in all, have been ENERGY STAR™ certified since July 2017. The United States Environmental Protection Agency ENERGY STAR program for reduced energy usage requires that units operate within the program’s 0.55 kW-hr/day per cubic foot threshold to receive this certification.
Sample Protection
Products in the TSX Series are equipped with industry-leading capabilities aimed at preserving the integrity and viability of your precious samples. Whether you access your freezer multiple times daily or have sensitive biological samples that require tight thermal controls, the TSX Series offers you peace of mind that your important results won’t be compromised.
With their unique V-drive technology, TSX Freezers can rapidly recover to -75°C within minutes after the door has been opened. The TSX Series of ULT freezers also exhibits the lowest peak variation on the market; temperature stability and uniformity is maintained throughout the chamber, effectively protecting all stored samples regardless of their position within the cabinet.
As part of its mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer, Thermo Fisher Scientific is committed to serving laboratories in many industries and settings by providing equipment designed to offer improved productivity and cost efficiencies while promoting sustainability.
